Beatriz Castelblanco, M.A., CCC-SLP, received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Maryland and is nationally certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Beatriz has experience working with children with a variety of language delays/disorders including gestalt language processors, autistic children, and children who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She has worked in clinical and private practice settings.
Additionally, Beatriz is a certified Spanish-English bilingual speech therapist and has experience in evaluating and treating bilingual children with a range of speech and language disorders. She is committed to a dynamic evaluation approach to highlight every child’s individual strengths while also identifying areas of support. Her treatment approach focuses on child-led, play-based sessions to motivate and encourage her clients. Beatriz also believes in the importance of supporting families and being a resource for them to promote carryover skills at home and in their communities. When Beatriz is not working with her clients, she enjoys traveling with friends and family, supporting local businesses, practicing yoga, and baking.
