We have been looking for a long time since the quarantine started to find a place that offers in office therapy. Finally, we found Metro Speech. She loves loves loves her therapist to the point that the mornings that she is going there she jumps up and down from happiness. In only 1 month we see progress with her speech. We are so happy and feel very lucky to have trusted them to help our girl.

My daughter feels comfortable and confident when working with Samantha and has seen the progress she’s made. Because of the current restrictions and social distancing, they have moved their sessions to take place remotely via Zoom and it has been a very smooth transition.

I am so grateful to this practice for the tremendous help they provided to my 6-year-old son. Owner Anat Sohn is gracious and helpful, involving herself in every stage of intake, including participating in my son’s evaluation and then pairing him with a wonderful therapist who was uniquely adept at meeting his needs. My son looks forward to spending time with his therapist, as she makes learning fun by incorporating play into their time together as well as his homework. In the few instances where I required a reschedule that involved seeing a different therapist for a week, the transitions were seamless and the other therapists were excellent. The professionals at this practice are consistently courteous and warm to my family, helpful when I need clarification or assistance, and clearly love their work interacting with the young ones. The facility is attractive and clean with a quiet, comfortable waiting room for me and my daughter — and a sunny outdoor area with picnic tables for on beautiful days. Our therapist and owner Anat clearly make every effort to be flexible to accommodate my family’s needs. They are willing to be liaison to my insurer, promptly respond to my inquiries, and are happy to help me advocate for my son at his school and elsewhere. Most importantly, I have had the great pleasure of witnessing my son enjoy the success of his efforts as he continuously improves and meets his speech therapy goals. This practice earns five stars and more if I could!

Cassandra at Metro Speech has done wonders for our daughter’s speech articulation disorder. Everyone at the office is polite and helpful. Will also mention that the online sessions really work. I was hesitant due to our daughter’s age but given the pandemic, we felt online therapy was the best choice for us. It is surprisingly effective – we are really quite pleased with Metro Speech.

Our son went to Metro Speech Therapy and he made a lot of progress. The staff established a great rapport with him and their hard work and dedication is second to none. The therapy is fun and play-based. They also gave us a lot of strategies to use at home. I just wish we had started a lot earlier. Early intervention is key. I’ve seen speech therapists in schools and other places and the ones at Metro Speech Therapy are among the very best. When you think about it, there aren’t many professions that are more important than speech therapists. They’re up there with doctors, EMTs, firefighters, teachers, and anyone else who helps people.

“Our son had speech therapy with Anat for six months when he was two years old. Since we were about to return to Israel, the therapy was mostly in Hebrew. Anat was wonderful with our son and he loved to come. He talked about Anat even between sessions :). The therapy was through play, when many times Anat followed our son’s lead and found ways to practice speech in every activity they did. He made amazing progress during that time – from barely speaking, to speaking in 3 word sentences in two languages. He also made huge progress in pronunciation as well! My son made cognitive progress during that time following Anat’s therapy (for example, understanding of big -small concept). Anat worked with him also on eating and drinking (strengthening muscles in the mouth) and his improvement on that was great. In addition, Anat worked with our son on pretend play – which he almost did not express at all when he started therapy, and throughout this time there was a lot of progress in this area.
Anat was also available for conversation with us whenever we had a question or concern.
