Anat Sohn, M.A., CCC-SLP, owner of Metro Speech Therapy, is a Maryland State-Licensed speech language Pathologist and is nationally certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).  Anat has more than 20 years of experience in outpatient, in-patient, home health, and, academic settings in NYC, Florida, and Maryland. Anat specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents and adults in Montgomery County, MD with communication, cognitive and swallowing concerns related to autism, ADHD, auditory processing disorders, apraxia, dysphagia (swallowing problems), Cerebral Vascular Accidents, Traumatic Brain Injuries, genetic disorders, stuttering, developmental delays, and articulation disorders.

Anat has served students in special needs learning centers within the Montgomery County Public School System. She has experience conducting speech and language evaluations for bilingual and severely impaired students and is committed to compliance within all aspects of special education services.  Anat currently provides therapy at both office locations, and on a case-by-case basis in client homes, assisted living facilities, preschools and day care centers.

As one of the few Speech–Language Pathologist certified to provide Interactive Metronome in Montgomery County, MD, Anat incorporates this technology into her sessions when appropriate, to address communication and cognitive goals.  She participates in continuing education, and integrates emerging technologies in the field to assure that top quality therapy is provided to her clients and their families.

Anat currently resides in Edgewater, MD with her husband, 15-year old son and 12-year old daughter.
