Erin Thomas, M.A. CCC-SLP, received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the Pennsylvania State University, and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a Maryland State-Licensed Speech Language Pathologist and is nationally certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Erin has provided evaluation and treatment for children with a variety of speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing needs in an outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation and school setting. She has experience working with children with severe complex communication needs and utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) supports to promote independence. She also has provided teletherapy services to children using low-tech and high tech AAC supports. Erin is passionate about using a multi-modal approach for treatment. She is dedicated to providing functional and meaningful therapy that is oriented to the specific needs of children and their families to improve their overall quality of life. She recently moved from Pittsburgh, PA and currently lives in Gaithersburg, MD. She enjoys spending time with her loved ones, traveling, exercising, and exploring new places in Maryland.
