Kayla Kaplan, M.A., CCC-SLP received her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Maryland, is certified by ASHA (American Speech and Hearing Association) and is licensed to practice in Maryland and Virginia. She has experience working with individuals across the lifespan in settings such as schools, rehab facilities, skilled nursing homes, and telehealth. Kayla values neurodiversity and cultural-linguistic diversity and believes that therapy should be collaborative, client-centered, and functional in order to help each family and individual meet their communication goals. She continuously strives to learn more about her patients and about current evidence-based treatments to best help each client. Kayla has experience treating individuals with fluency disorders (stuttering/cluttering), voice disorders, articulation disorders, accent modification, cognitive disorders, and language disorders. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, playing board games, and learning how to make new recipes.
